Ages 3 through Elementary School (age and grade as of the beginning of the school year)

Formation classes for all ages meet at 9:45 on Sunday mornings during the school year, beginning the Sunday after Labor Day until late May.

Church of the Servant uses the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program, which uses the Montessori method of teaching. Those gathered in the Atria each Sunday focus on the love of God, the teachings of Jesus, and timeless moments of worship through the use of hands-on materials, art, reading, and writing.

We believe that God and the child have a unique relationship with one another particularly before the age of six and that the growth of this relationship should be assisted by the adult, but is directed by the Spirit of God within the child. Children need their own place to foster the growth of that relationship. We believe that the child’s spiritual growth is best served through tangible but indirect means.

Each group is led by a team of two or three trained adults.
