Surprise Luncheon! | Church of the Servant Wilmington

On January 30^th, Parish Care and the Monday Prayer Group surprised our parish administrator, Sally, with a luncheon at Brunches on Randall Parkway. This was our way of letting her know how much we appreciate her efficiency and professionalism as she supports the work of all COS ministries. Sally’s is the friendly voice on the phone. She maintains the church calendar, prepares bulletins for all services as well as the beautiful booklet for the annual meeting, serves as the bookkeeper, keeps the membership register up to date, emails the weekly announcements . . . the list goes on and on! Her tasks are endless, but she always maintains a friendly smile and a pleasant greeting for anyone stopping by her office. Sally is both a treasure and a blessing to all COS parishioners!

These are the first words spoken by Jesus in John’s gospel, directed to a seeker named Andrew. We are all seekers, and while we may not know how to express what it is we’re looking for, we trust that we’ll know it when we see it.

At Church of the Servant, we seek, serve, and celebrate God and each other in a safe and accepting community. We welcome people from various backgrounds and ethnicities, those who are straight, LGBTQ, married, partnered, single, from other denominations and faith traditions, life-long Episcopalians, brand new to church or returning to church after a long absence.
